My son and I chose this trip for a few simple reasons. We wanted a hands-on fishing style, casting and retrieving instead of slow trolling for a single big fish. Our goal was to bring home fresh dinner, and that’s exactly what we did. The captain knew the right spots, and each drift along the reef gave us steady action and great catches. We also wanted a private experience, just the two of us with the captain. He was easy to talk to and shared interesting stories about Cayman history, his life, and his family. By the end of the trip, it felt like more than just fishing. We left with a better understanding of the islands and their culture. To top it off, the captain recommended a local restaurant that prepared our catch perfectly and guided us on the best way to have it cooked. It was one of the best fishing trips we’ve had. Great fishing, great company, and a memorable day all around.

Cachas was great to fish with—very knowledgeable, easygoing, and focused on making the trip fit exactly what we wanted. He picked us up on the north side at Kaibo dock, which made things really convenient. Right away, he asked if we wanted to start with some trolling before heading out for tarpon, and we were all for it. It didn’t take long before we were hooked up on snapper, and we even landed a small needle nose gar. After that, we moved to the tarpon spot. The tarpon didn’t cooperate that day, but we still had a blast fighting and landing a 50+ lb nurse shark. On the way back, we did a bit more trolling before heading into the dock. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience. Cachas knows his water, keeps things relaxed, and adjusts the trip to what you’re looking for. We’ll definitely be booking with him again on our next Cayman Islands visit.

We booked a morning fishing trip and it exceeded expectations. The original plan was deep sea fishing, but with the conditions that day, it wasn’t the safest option. Captain C made a great call and set us up for reef fishing along with lobster and conch diving, which turned out to be an excellent choice. There was steady action throughout the trip, and it felt like Captain C knew exactly where to go at all times. He even jumped in the water to scout the best spots for lobster and conch, which was impressive to watch. While we were fishing, we caught a mix of species and brought home snapper and jack. Back on the boat, he cleaned and prepped everything so we could enjoy a fresh seafood meal later. To top it off, he picked us up and dropped us off right at the dock in front of our Airbnb, which made the whole experience even more convenient. That level of service really stood out. Highly recommend.

Captain Stewart (Catchus-totally messed up the spelling), proactively called us all the way up until the date of the Charter, due to windy conditions. He made this basically a custom trip for me, my wife and nine-year-old son. We have had charters in the past in Florida & Puerto Rico... This truly is the gold standard of absolute local knowledge, how and where to fish and an unceasing attention to his clients. If you really want a fish, and you really wanna know how... Don't go anywhere else. This was an A+ experience with lifetime memories. Well done, Capt

Booked with Capt. C after reading many online reviews. Wanted an experienced local captain, and definitely got one! Wife and I have fished before; first time for the 19 and 17yo kids. Left from Anchors at Cayman Yacht Club at precisely 8a, motored beyond the reef by 8:30, were on the fish by 8:45. By 10:15a, we had hit on 8, pulled in six barracuda. Then he changed tactics, took us to a little further west, where we reeled in a 30+ lb. wahoo and another barracuda. On the way back, he made arrangements with a local restaurant to cook it up for us, $14pp x 3ppl for blackened, grilled, fried, and three sides. (For the record, we interacted with four other boats that day - only one had luck and only caught one 'cuda.) It's not the fanciest boat on the water, but felt like we had the most knowledgeable guide on the island.

We had an amazing experience with Captain Stewart. We were a little nervous at first since it was our first deep-sea fishing trip and we had our 8-year-old with us, but the trip exceeded all expectations.

We had a great day. The weather was too choppy to go outside the reef and do deep-sea fishing as we had planned, but the captain made a quick switch of plans, and we had a fun day in the bay trolling. Had a lot of fun with the barracuda! Most important thing is that the captain is a great guy, and a good person to fish with. If I come back this way again, I will certainly book another trip.

A few of us went out with Captain Super C. His boat was an inboard motor setup which made it much easier to get around and have cover from the sun. We trolled for blackfin tuna and got 5 bites, pulled in 3 fish.. well 2.5 since the tax man took his share. We heard that other charters struck out that day. The captain cleaned our fish and we used the guts to hand line tarpons at the dock. We managed to pull in a 3 ft tarpon which made the trip ever more memorable. When we got back to our hotel, we asked a local chef to prepare our tuna for us. He baked it for us as well as served up sashimi style with all the sides. We stayed at The Locale and they treated us like family. The hospitality of the island is unmatched. The Grand Caymans was our most memorable trip and we look forward to coming back!

Captain Cachas is a original Caymanian. Had great conversation with him about the culture here in the Caymans. He knows the spots and where to fish them. Was slow but our charter started mid day. Once the sun went down the fish started to bite. We caught a Tuna and a Wahoo within minutes apart and lost (the one that got away;) a very large fish that I could barely hold onto the pole for. I recommend going early in the day or starting a tour in the evening. Mid day fishing is always a crapshoot. Overall Happy with him and the bot. He fileted our catch and took to Morgan's and we ate the best fish of our lives! Did not disappoint!

My son and I had a fantastic afternoon fishing and swimming with stingrays. We wanted to target tarpon and swim with stingrays, and although it wasn’t one of his usual combo packages, Capt. C. happily accommodated our request. His fishing skills are matched only by his great personality!

Today's trip was a great experience. I went out solo on the 4-hour afternoon deep sea fishing trip, and the boat was the perfect size. The captain began by sharing information about the fishing spots and reefs, and the day ended with catching several different fish. The start was slow, but by the end, we had enough to fill the box and filleted the catch afterward. I took home some tuna and rainbow runner. Thanks again!

If you want the best fishing experience in Grand Cayman, this is your guide—highly recommended. Friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he gets you on the fish. The boat was comfortable and well equipped. When the weather looked bad on the day of our afternoon trip, he had no problem rescheduling to ensure we had the best experience. We booked reef fishing, and after mentioning we’d never caught triggerfish, he took us past the reef where we were hooked up quickly. Before the trip ended, he even took us to a beautiful reef to snorkel and dive for conch. Thanks again, Captain C!
